The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through its Disaster Response Management Bureau (DRMB), conducted a thorough duty briefing for its Quick Response Team (QRT). This initiative reflects the agency’s heightened state of readiness and robust preparedness to deliver immediate assistance to individuals affected by natural or human-induced hazards during the 2025 National and Local Elections.

The briefing encompassed discussions on potential civil disturbances, crowd control situations, election-related violence or armed conflict, displacement due to natural hazards or conflict threats, and health-related incidents. This proactive approach demonstrates the Bureau’s unwavering dedication to serving the public, especially during times of heightened need.

Furthermore, the DSWD urges the public to remain vigilant, prioritize their safety while casting votes, and promptly report any emergencies to local authorities. The Department remains committed to its mission, working collaboratively with local government units (LGUs), national agencies, and civil society organizations to promote public welfare and ensure the safety and security of the midterm elections.
