𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: The DSWD as the Vice Chair for Response Cluster and lead agency for Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) Cluster convened a meeting together with the CCCM Cluster Member agencies from Department of Education (DEPED), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Health (DOH), Office of the Civil Defense (OCD), Philippine National Police (PNP), and International Organization for Migration (IOM) as partner stakeholder, at the Disaster Response Command Center (DRCC) War Room on 14 February 2024.
DSWD through the Disaster Response Management Bureau spearheaded the meeting to discuss, strategize, and prioritize initiatives aimed at bolstering camp coordination and management efforts to strengthen disaster response mechanisms and ensure the safety and well-being of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and families during emergencies and calamities.
Among the key agenda discussed were the organization of a Technical Working Group (TWG) dedicated to conducting comprehensive Camp Safety audits; development of CCCM Executive Course tailored for members of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC); harmonization of various validation tools, including the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG), Service Delivery Capacity and Competency Assessment (SDCCA), and Gawad Kalasag (GK); and development of Camp Management Plan guidebook.
Present during the activity were staff from DRMB – Disaster Response Operations Management Division (DROMD) headed by OIC-Division Chief Ms. Rizaline A. Sta. Ines; Mr. Park Anthony Nito of DEPED; Mr. Robin E. Lim of DILG; Mr. Jose A. Juan, Jr. of DOH; Ms. Bianne Camille Rellamas of OCD; PLTCOL. Marites Ovelilia and Pat. Mhariz C. Agustin of PNP; and Ms. Kimberly Go Tian of IOM.
