MobKit
Mobile Kitchen
This is one of the DSWD Disaster Response Management Bureau (DRMB) ongoing innovations to enhance Disaster Response Operations in the Field Offices.
Mobile kitchens are being introduced as a vital innovation in disaster response. These mobile units are designed to address several critical needs:
1. Bridging the Gap: They provide immediate food assistance in evacuation centers, especially when community kitchens or facilities are not yet operational.
2. Versatility: Beyond disaster relief, mobile kitchens can be adapted for various Social Welfare and Development Programs.
3. Economic Empowerment: They offer a sustainable solution by supporting Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Small Scale Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
