DSWD Non-Food Items

The Non-food items (NFIs) are distributed to families affected by disasters. These include various survival kits like family kits, hygiene kits, kitchen kits, sleeping kits, water containers, and shelter materials such as tarpaulins, laminated sacks, family tents, and modular tents.

Hygiene Kit

Hygiene Kit is composed of toiletries that can be used for approximately one (1) month by the displaced individual and families following the standard composition set by the Department of Health (DOH).


The Hygiene Kit is composed of the following:

  • Five (5) pieces toothbrush
  • Two (2) tubes toothpastes
  • One (1) bottle shampoo
  • Four (4) pieces bath bar soaps
  • 2000 grams laundry bar soap
  • Four (4) packs sanitary napkins
  • One (1) piece comb
  • One (1) piece disposable shaving razor
  • One (1) piece nail cutter
  • One (1) piece bathroom dipper
  • One (1) chamber pot
  • One (1) piece, 20 L square plastic bucket (which serves as the packaging for the items)

Kitchen Kit

Kitchen Kit is distributed to support food partake and preparation during the stay of the victims at the evacuation centers.


The Kitchen Kit is composed of the following:

  • Five (5) pieces spoons
  • Five (5) pieces forks
  • Five (5) pieces drinking glasses
  • Five (5) pieces plates
  • One (1) piece frying pan
  • One (1) piece cooking pan
  • One (1) piece ladle
  • One (1) piece plastic box container (which serves as the packaging of the items)

Sleeping Kit

Sleeping Kit is given for the comfort and protection of the victims to avoid health related problems that may arise due to insect bites, etc.


The Sleeping Kit has the following components:

  • Two (2) pieces blankets
  • One (1) piece plastic mat
  • One (1) piece mosquito net
  • One (1) piece malong (wrap cloth)
  • One (1) piece pillow
  • One (1) piece plastic box container which serves as the packaging of the items


Family Clothing Kit

Family Clothing Kit is used for clothing requirements.


The Family Clothing Kit has the following components:

  • Five (5) pieces bath towels
  • Two (2) pieces ladies’ panties
  • Three (3) pieces girls’ panties
  • Two (2) pieces men’s briefs
  • Three (3) pieces boys’ briefs
  • Two (2) pieces sando bras, adults
  • Three (3) pieces sando bras, girls
  • Four (4) pieces adults’ t-shirts
  • Six (6) pieces children’s t-shirts
  • Four (4) pieces adults’ short pants
  • Six (6) pieces children’s shorts
  • Two (2) pairs adults’ slippers
  • Three (3) pairs children’s slippers
  • One (1) piece plastic box container (which serves as the packaging of the item)
